All participants will receive a certificate of attendance via email upon completion of the training.
DCF staff, including DCP&P staff, are eligible for Training Credits through the Training Academy for each of the 3 Parts of the Trans Affirming New Jersey Series.
Upon completion of each part, all participants who attended the full session will be sent a certificate of completion. This certificate indicates attendance, but does not indicate training credits, because it does not include the results of each participants’ post-test. Those results are required in order for that attendee to receive their training credits.
To receive training credits: At the end of each training session as well as in a follow up email, participants will receive the link to take the post-test. Once they have completed the post-test, they will receive an automated message informing them of their score. If they score a 7/10 or higher, they will receive the credits for that training. If they score a 6/10 or lower, they will be asked to re-take the test in order to receive said credits.

Once the post-test scores are collected, the names and scores of those seeking training credits will be sent to the Training Academy at the beginning of the following month.
Please note: Participants should not expect their credits to appear immediately. Once the names are sent to the Training Academy, it can take 2 weeks or more for credits to appear on individual transcripts in the DCF LMS, depending on the volume of credits being submitted to the Training Academy.

Q: Do I need to complete the entire series to receive credits?
A: In order to receive the total of 6.5 credits, participants will be required to attend all 3 parts. For individuals who only take 1 or 2 parts of the series, they are still eligible to receive the training credits for each session they attend and score at least 7/10 on the post-test.
Q: How soon can I expect to see the credits appear on my transcript?
A: We will send all of the names of individuals who have achieved their training credits along to the Training Academy each month, but not immediately after every training. This means participants may have to wait until the beginning of the following month for their names to be submitted to the Training Academy. It can take 2 weeks or more for credits to appear on individual transcripts in the DCF LMS, depending on the volume of credits being submitted to the Training Academy.
Q: Will we be provided with the slides from the training?
A: Participants will not receive a copy of the slides, but they will receive a detailed handout packet for each part of the training series which will include key takeaways, definitions, and important concepts. These handouts will also help participants successfully complete their post-tests.
